Africa-Press – Lesotho. Lesotho National Under-20 soccer side, Makoanyane XI will tomorrow leave for Botswana for an international friendly match against Botswana to be played on Saturday and Sunday.
Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Communication Officer, Mikia Kalati, told Public Eye Makoanyane XI will tomorrow travel to Botswana to play two international friendly matches as the two countries fine-tune preparations for the upcoming COSAFA Championship.
COSAFA Championship will be played in Zambia starting from December 4 until December 14. Kalati further said the draw of this year’s COSAFA tournament will be announced in due course as it is not yet in place.
Countries to participate in COSAFA tournament this year are: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Bob Mafoso’s charges were last year eliminated from the COSAFA tournament after collecting one point from group C games. This came after Makoanyane XI were humiliated 4- 0 by Zimbabwe, played a draw of 1- 1 with Angola and lost 2-1 to South Africa.
