Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning has once again deferred a question regarding the cost of Ministerial International Travel for the Financial Year 2024/2025 in the National Assembly on Thursday.
This question, which was earlier asked by a Member of Parliament Mr. Remaketse Sehlabaka was deferred for the second time and it is expected to be answered next week by the Leader of the House.
Mr. Sehlabaka asked the Minister of Finance to shed some light on the amount of money used on travel across the Ministries in the financial year 2024/2025 and how, in terms of percentage, that amount relates to the amount allocated to the creation of jobs for the youth.
He further asked the Minister to shed light on how much of that money was budgeted for as against the additional mount towards travel from the contingency fund as well as how much of the travel benefited the country in terms of value for money.
