Africa-Press – Lesotho. The government of Lesotho in partnership with the European Union (EU) have signed an agreement in support of the Inclusive Lesotho programme which is financially supported by EU with funds valued at an estimated value of over M320 million.
In her remarks, the European Union Ambassador Ms. Paola Amadei said that for almost 50 years, EU and Lesotho have been partnering for democracy and sustainable development and the European Union has been engaged firmly by Lesotho’s side in the endeavour to end poverty.
She indicated that the EU strives to pursue the Sustainable Development Goals not only with it’s financial support programmes, but also by facilitating and entertaining political and trade partnerships, between Lesotho, the EU and its Member States.
