Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Muslim community in Lesotho commemorated World AIDS Day 2025 with a strong call to action aimed at preventing new HIV infections through education and access to health services.

Speaking on behalf of the Muslim Council of Lesotho (MUCOL),Mr. Imaam Thabiso Osman Ralepoma emphasized that believers are encouraged to live according to God’s laws as a foundation for maintaining good health.

He urged members of the community to take full advantage of available health services in order to protect themselves and lead healthy lives.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Saada Mofokeng from the Muslim Women’s Development Organisation highlighted the crucial role of women in safeguarding public health.

She called on women to prioritize self-care and to support one another in collective efforts to protect and improve the well-being of the community.

The event formed part of the global observance of World AIDS Day, which seeks to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS, promote prevention strategies, and encourage unity in the fight against the epidemic.
