Africa-Press – Lesotho. Stakeholders from diverse industries are set to meet in Nairobi in June 2024 to discuss sustainable financing for businesses.

The 2024 Private Enterprise Africa Venture Summit hosted by audit, tax and advisory services firm KPMG, will feature dialogues, pitching sessions, investment opportunities, and networking opportunities for over 300 targeted participants from across Africa.

The two-day event set for June 10 and 11 will bring together investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainable financing.

KPMG in a statement said the event will cover topics ranging from fintech innovation, tax compliance, impact investing, and sustainable financing and will provide valuable insights into the critical topics shaping Africa’s funding landscape.

“As Africa stands on the verge of unprecedented growth, the summit emerges as a beacon of possibility for investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders alike,” the audit firm said.

With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainable financing, the summit aims to shape the future of funding in Africa through impactful ventures and strategic partnerships.

The summit comes at a time that the region is witnessing a reduction in funding from investors.

According to Disrupt Africa’s African Tech Startups Funding Report, investment in African startups fell by around 27 percent in 2023, while the number of investors dropped by half.

These are among the issues KPMG says its experts will explore and the discussions on fostering high-impact ventures and shaping the future of funding in Africa.

The summit, which is set to usher in a new era of economic opportunity and innovation across the continent, aims to shape the future of funding in Africa through impactful ventures and strategic partnerships.

“At the heart of this transformative event lies a dynamic audio-visual campaign designed to ignite excitement and anticipation amongst stakeholders,” KPMG said.
