Africa-Press – Lesotho. Although the majority of reports from the Portfolio Committee on the Economic and Development Cluster are already enacted, they were officially adopted by the National Assembly on Tuesday.
Such reports included the Financial Lease (Amendment) Regulations, 2024; (Licensing of Insurance Intermediaries) Amendment Regulations 2024; Insurance (Registration and Licensing Requirements for Insurers) Amendment Regulations 2024; Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Regulations,2024 as well the report on Pension Funds (Registration and Licensing Amendment, Regulations 2024.
Prior to adoption of these reports, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mrs. Ts’epang Mosena warned the House that they did not have to debate the reports in depth as they are already enacted but the objective was to ensure Members of Parliament (MP) fully understand their details.
