Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Seventh Meeting of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament of Lesotho will re-open on August 01.
This is according to the National Assembly Circular No.2 of 2025, indicating that the National Assembly will be re-opened in terms of Standing Order No 14 (2).
The House re-opens after winter break and it is expected that the reports as well as motions, which were tabled before winter break will be discussed and adopted.
Such reports include the audit of the construction of the new Royal Palace amongst others.
It was adjourned Sine Die on May 30, 2025.
The National Assembly is the lower Chamber of the Parliament of Lesotho. It consists of one hundred and twenty members who are elected in terms of a mixed member proportional electoral system with eighty members elected under first-past the post system and remaining forty members elected in accordance with the principle of proportional representation.
The term of Parliament is five years.
