Mr. Rethabile Mphahama from LMS presented a review of the 2024/2025 rainy season. He noted that the rainy season began in the second week of October 2024. From October to December, the region experienced below-normal rainfall. However, from January to March 2025, above-normal rainfall was recorded, especially in the southern parts of the country, while the northwestern regions experienced below-normal rainfall.
Mr. Mphahama also provided details on the seasonal outlook for 2025/2026, indicating that Basotho should expect normal to above-normal rainfall during the October, November, and December season. Above-normal rainfall is also anticipated during the November, December, January, February, and January, February, and March period.
