Africa-Press – Lesotho. Along the years, the local event organizers have banked on South African artistes as a crowd pulling tactic and to spice up their shows with an international element. This trend has rarely or never gone beyond that, even when it did, it has never been extra-ordinary.
Cube events took everyone by shock but joy when they announced on their Facebook page last week that the Nigerian Superstar Tekno Miles will be performing at their event on March 30 2018.
“Tekno Miles will be performing live in Lesotho on the 30th March 2018 (Easter Friday) with him we’ll have the best talents from Lesotho,” read their post. Augustine Miles Kelechi who’s otherwise known as ‘Tekno Miles’ or simply ‘Tekno’ is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, producer and dancer.
He is widely known for his own 2017 hit single ‘Pana’ and he is also a producer of a 2017 trending hit single ‘IF’ by his fellow country man and another world superstar ‘Davido’.
This event is organized by three local companies, Empire, Cube and Black Mix Lesotho, the same companies that held the recent Gospel festival featuring Dr Tumi, Lebo Sekgobela and Ntokozo Mbambo among others.
Contacted for comment, one of the organizers from Empire, Ndaba Matshe confirmed the coming of Tekno stating that their mission is to enroll on big things that have never been done before in the entertainment industry.
“Indeed we have booked Tekno, in fact we were supposed to have a couple of Nigerian household names but we ended up with only him and he will be performing in Lesotho along with some of the local artistes who haven’t yet been confirmed on our line-up.
Bearing in mind Tekno’s caliber, it’s unbelievable he will come all the way from Nigeria to Lesotho, if he does, it would indeed be a historical moment for Lesotho entertainment industry to have hosted a man whose net worth sits around a whooping 250Million Naira.
