Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations and the 2023 Nishan Forum on Classical Civilizations were officially opened on Wednesday this week by CPC provincial committee secretary Lin Wu in Nishan, Shandong province in China.

Under the theme of “Common values for mankind and a community with a shared future for mankind” the Forum on World Civilizations featured a number of activities such as key note speeches on the opening ceremony, classical civilizations, literature, arts, heritages, world Confucianism and many more including interviews with ministers and diplomats.

The Nishan forum, attended by international delegates, government officials, scholars, descendants of Confucius and youth representatives from around the world, is aimed at promoting Chinese culture and other cultures across the world, as well as enhancing communications and mutual learning between different civilizations.

Shandong has made great footsteps in growing the international influence of Chinese civilizations and stirring the vitality of cultural innovation and creativity in order to build a new cultural exchange and mutual learning.

Shandong has been bolstering the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese cultures. The province has made solid progress in enhancing cultural confidence, vitalizing traditional cultures and advancing regional cultural heritage and demonstration projects.

The province is striving to inherit and develop the culture of Confucianism and to communicate traditional Chinese cultures around the world to further exchange mutual learning
