Africa-Press – Lesotho. Jazz artist Mongali Nthako known as Moholo will host Jazz and music festival on November 29th, aimed at raising funds for artists to ease the effects of Covid-19 pandemic.

Nthako indicated that the principal purpose of the event is to generate money to revive the entertainment industry. He said the event is anticipated to host the likes of Bhudaza

Mapeshoane, Selimo Thabane, Majisto, Motlalepula Thejane and other various artists. He said the occasion will also help artists to gain more fame, reconnect

with their fans and obtain appreciation and exposure to new followers. Also, he showed that every artist in the lineup will be paid. Nthako picked that most of

these artists are dependent on music, that this is like their first income after a long time. Nthako further noted that he draws inspiration from great

guitarists such as Jimmy dludlu, Thabo Segonyana, George Benson and Norman Brown. He added that these artists had great focus and love for their work.

“I knew I had to keep the same momentum”. Nthako disclosed that organizing

the event was not too easy, but he always remembered that dedication and hard work are fuel to attaining big dreams in life. He said they will ensure adherence to the guidelines and

regulations by the National COVID-19 Secretariat (NACOSEC), of permitting 500 people to attend the event. Nthako, who residents at Ha-Ts’osane, joined the music

industry in 1996 and started using a guitar in 2005 though it took a long time for him to release his music. He says one of his biggest fears is seeing an artist go unnoticed, for it was a worrying experience.

His first album was produced in June 2013 titled ‘Life’ and comprised of ten tracks, the second album was produced in July 2017 titled ‘Meleki Sedeke’ consisting of ten tracks too.
