Africa-PressLesotho. Paralympics Association of Botswana (PASSOBO) has started preparations for the Region 5 Games scheduled for December in Maseru, Lesotho. The team comprises 10 athletes and five guides.

The team manager, Mpho Pheto said the first training camp was held last week when the team was accommodated at Oasis Motel. “The team went for training at the National Stadium where we started selection of the final team.

We are planning to have another camp next week. The final selection will be done alongside events that athletes would be competing in,” he said. Pheto said classification will be done next week.

He also said one of the athletes, Kago Sebaraboyi sustained a groin injury in September. He stated that the athlete is getting medical assistance at the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) and it seems like he is responding positively.

The team: Keatlaretse Mabote (head coach) and Beauty Gakekgonwe (assistant coach). Guides: Sesebo Matlapeng, Thuso Baleseng, Baboloki Ramaabya, Tumo Masejane and Kgalalelo Kaishana.

Athletes: Amantle Makhura, Thapelo Kemorue, Bokang Mopalo, Kago Sebaraboyi, Phemo Karenna, Keamogetse Serepelele, Amogelang Serepelele, Theo Nkele, Mpho Tinye and Kemmonye Tomeletso.
