Africa-Press – Lesotho. Nestled in Ha Sekake, Patlong Primary School now bursts with life and colour.
The yard at Qhoalinyane Resource Centre has transformed into a lively mosaic of green vegetables, repurposed decorative bottles, and neatly arranged crops, an outdoor classroom glowing with creativity and promise.
These flourishing climate-smart plots aim not only to beautify the space, but to promote dietary diversity and empower children to grow healthy, home-grown food.
To mark the launch of the school-based dietary diversity implementation campaigns, pupils opened the event with a peaceful march, proudly holding placards with messages such as “Hlaisa meroho le litholoana,” meaning “Produce vegetables and fruits.”
