Africa-Press – Lesotho. Christmas came early for motorists this year as Petroleum Fund announces the decrease of petrol prices effective from today. This is according to the press release issued by the Petroleum Fund yesterday.
The petrol price of both grades of petrol (petrol93 and petrol95) has decreased by ten (10) lisente per litre, while the pump price of diesel50 increased by fifteen (15) lisente per litre and the wholesale price of illuminating paraffin increased by twenty-five (25) lisente per litre.
The revised fuel prices across all districts stand as follows, petrol (93) is now sold at M10.70 per litre, petrol (95) at M10.80 per litre while diesel (50) costs M11.10 per litre and the wholesale price for illuminating paraffin is M6.60 per litre.
The office of the Petroleum Fund further appealed to fuel retailers to adhere to the stipulated prices and not sell at inflated prices as legal measures will be taken against those violating these new prices.
