Africa-Press – Lesotho. Prime Minister (PM), Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane has ordered the Ministry of Energy to reimburse electricity installation contributions from Mantsonyane villagers.

This, the PM said during a launch of rural electrification project for four villages, Au Plaas, Ha Ntsokoane, Ha Chooko, and Tlapa-le-ts’otso, in Mantsonyane, Thaba-Tseka on Monday.

PM said the government is mandated to assist the nation, not the other way round, and all the money that was contributed for installation of power must be returned to the villagers.

Each household in the four villages had contributed M500 each.
