Africa-Press – Lesotho. Twelve primary schools are set to compete in a Science Fair, which will feature quizzes on May 28 at Ramoliehi Primary School.

The announcement was made by Mr. Mocheta Makara, the Food and Nutrition Supervisor for Catholic Relief Services (CRS), on Wednesday during the monthly Nutrition Team meeting.

According to Mr. Makara, the competition will focus on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Nutrition activities. He said the top three winners will receive prizes, including gardening tools, sanitary towels, cleaning supplies, storybooks, and instruments. Additionally, the overall winner will be awarded a circulating trophy.

Mr. Makara explained that the six schools not participating in the fair will have the opportunity to compete in a separate drama competition, with the winning school receiving gardening tools. He also mentioned that all twelve schools will receive medals.

To qualify for the competition, schools must adhere to hygiene practices and utilize agricultural inputs provided by CRS. Mr. Makara stated that assessments are ongoing in all schools within the Litsoetse Center
