Africa-Press – Lesotho. Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online. In an exclusive interview with Voice of the Nation, the Chairperson of the TeyaTeyaneng (TY) Fairways Zone environmental committee Mr Tsolo Ramphalile explained that some of the activists find themselves having to pay rental housing, where they pay more money than they generate where they .

He also pointed out that during severe weather conditions they are forced to pack up their belongings as they end up being damaged by the rains and are robbed.

In addition, he said part of the problem was that the big businesses they worked for were selling individual products such as vegetables and fruit and this led to people getting into big businesses. more than theirs.

Tsolo said that in order to overcome this problem, some activists have tried to set up organizations in which they try to fight these issues, by identifying the point of individual sales in the big business, but have not yet found a solution.

Asked if at the time the Corona’s death seemed to be on the horizon, how did he see the business going, Tsolo said they were having a hard time because now they were starting a business on the ground.

“However, I can see that the protesters are still holding on tight as they return to work in large numbers without giving up.

If we do not raise our hands and allow ourselves to be at home, we will suffer more than if we could get into debt to start a business, ”he said. He said at a time when the disease was still rampant, the government had provided them with flour and beans. He said he saw it worked with great success because all the TY city residents were fed the food.

However, he said in the case of the donation of M500 to the beneficiaries at the time, some received it while others did not receive it as it was provided by officials from the Ministry of Small Business, Corporations and Markets and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

“We followed the same steps to get it.

We were only required to identify the victims who were affected by this issue, whether they have a business license or not according to our standards as this issue affected us all.

The protest committees also agreed that all should receive the same benefits through the assurance of all the district committees that such activists were affected by the situation, ”he said.

Tsolo said the money had helped them a lot as it was in a position to promote some of their businesses, especially those selling food, vegetables and fruit. Meanwhile, TY Caregiver Caretaker Mr Nkatsa Rapolo said the complaints of protesters were reaching out to them as the culprits.

He said the steps they had taken were to take them to the Local Government Councils and it was still making decisions for them to build safer working houses.

“So far nothing has been done as the redevelopment plan shows that such houses will be built within the ‘market’ and not outside.

“Foreigners have not yet had a plan in place for how they can be protected but the expectation is that such houses will be built for all and they will not end up according to their numbers,” said Rapolo.

He went on to say that the process should have started in October last year but that nothing had happened, adding that the reason was a lack of funding.
