Africa-Press – Lesotho. A Russian court on Wednesday fined the Twitch live streaming service 4 million rubles (about $44,590) for violating personal data laws, the state-run TASS news agency reported.
“By the decision of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow, Twitch Interactive was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 9 of Article 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of personal data). It was sentenced to a fine of 13 million rubles,” the court’s press service said.
The streaming service has been fined before by Russia, including back in August 2022 for refusing to remove a video featuring former Ukrainian presidential aide Oleksii Arestovych.
