SADC FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETS

Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Finance Committee on Friday in Antananarivo, Republic of Madagascar, as part of a series of meetings leading to the SADC Council of Ministers Meeting and the 45th SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government.

The meeting’s primary objective is to receive reports from the Finance Sub-Committee and the Audit Committee.

Delegates reviewed, scrutinised, and deliberated on a range of financial and governance matters, formulating recommendations for submission to the Council of Ministers, which will meet from August 12 to 14.

The Council of Ministers is responsible for overseeing the functioning and development of SADC and ensuring the effective implementation of its policies.

The Council will subsequently present its report to the Heads of State and Government during their Summit on August 17.
