Africa-Press – Lesotho. South African doubles specialist Raven Klaasen’s run at the 2022 French Open has come to an end. Klaasen and his Dutch partner, Robin Haase were beaten in the second round of the tournament, but not without a fight.
The pair lost to second seeds Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic in three sets, 6-7 (5/7), 6-4 and 2-6. On Wednesday, Klaasen and Haase won their first round match against the French team of Gilles Simon and Hugo Gaston, 6-3 and 6-1. Klaasen’s best result on the slow clay of Roland Garros came in 2018 when he reached the third round.
