Africa-Press – Lesotho. Speaking at a public meeting of the seven villages that make up Ha Mosuoe, at the Tsoelikana Local Government Council, last Thursday, the community set out their needs which included among others the establishment of a youth poverty alleviation fund.

The meeting was hosted by the PISA (Participatory Initiative for Social Accountability) and the Peace Education Association (DPE) also participated in the ‘Local Government Elections and the Ha Teacher Teachers’ Area.

In an interview with Voice of the Nation, Peace Education Researcher from the DPE Mr Lemohang Molibeli explained that the purpose of the call was to discuss and find out from the public what issues they would like to see addressed, once they have set a precedent for the main focus in the area.

Mr Molibeli explained that when all is said and done, then the responsible Ministries in the District will be meeting to meet with the community to discuss how and when those needs will be met. He lamented that the basic need for Teacher has been identified as a vocational school.

The Ha Mosuoe community provided the following needs: a vocational school, a need for water in the villages, a system of irrigating the fields, an evening school for herdsmen, youth issues including leisure grounds and a youth fund. poverty.

Ha Ha Teachers’ Local Chief Ms Malireko Sehahle said the call was very important to the community as it presented its concerns and entered into discussions on what the possible solution would be through a warm dialogue, which included appreciate individual opinions.

He further explained that it was at this meeting that it was agreed that every point raised as a problem, would be established by a committee within which all the villages would be represented.

Ms Sehahle thanked the Peace Education Foundation (DPE) and PISA for bringing the call, and appealed to the fact that it was not one of the problems that could be solved so that the community could move forward with development. The villages that were present at the summit and were in Ha Ha Teacher were Sethebeng, Lekhaloaneng, Phuthalichaba, Mafika-li-siu, Sefateng and Lord.
