Africa-Press – Lesotho. Thursday saw the formal graduation ceremony of the Thetsane English Medium School Grade 7 pupils. These are 78 students who were also awarded certificates for good performance in respective
subjects. “We have awarded certificates to students who have performed very well in their studies, some of them being the best in Mathematics and others in
Art. Their different colourful hoods being red, yellow, white, maroon, orange and grey are a symbol of their ranking in Art classes,” said Thetsane English
Medium School Principal ‘Matokelo Kobane. She extended a vote of thanks to the parents who greatly contributed to the success of the celebration amidst the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on the global economy.
Kobane praised their dedication and willingness to invest in the future of their children. Also present at the ceremony, Adventville High School Principal and former teacher
at Thetsane English Medium ‘Matšepo Ralethoko shared her gratitude to the graduates and commended the school for its noteworthy contribution in the education sector.
She said her bond to the school will remain tight. She also acknowledged the parents for having a part in their children’s school work. Directing the graduates, Ralethoko urged them to carry the good reputation to the high
schools, where she insisted that they ought to use their rich educational foundation to propel. She warned them against anything that may tarnish their
studies. On behalf of the parents, Thuto ke Bophelo Principal and a parent to one of the graduates Mapheello Penene mentioned that parenting is not an easy role, but
hastened to say that they manage to face the obstacles through strength from God. She also hailed the school for its well performing products, saying they
are proud parents. She encouraged the graduates to always strive for excellence. Also present at the ceremony were Thetsane English Medium School Board Chairperson ‘Mantšiliseng Gugushe and Tikoe area Chief Mopeli Matsoso.
