Africa-Press – Lesotho. Thetsane Paint Centre awarded the winner of its “fun filled educational campaign” a hamper worth M6, 104.84 on Saturday. “It never crossed my mind that I would actually be the winner, I entered this competition as a way of

distressing, for fun as I was home doing nothing during the nationwide lockdown, “said Moqhali Ralekhoa, Thetsane Paint Centre competition winner. The hamper also includes the opportunity to have

colours of his choice mixed for free. Ralekhoa entered the competition from the second day after its launch on the paint centre’s Facebook page. He says his

newly built nine roomed house is going to be exquisite. “I had only used an ordinary water paint on the interior walls, my wife and I are going to plan on the best

suitable colour for our house, and I am already excited with the idea of being more involved in house decor,” he stated. Thetsane paint centre is situated in Maseru Ha –Thetsane at Thetsane Office Park, shop number 5.

It was established in 2012 to later branch out in Hlotse (Gaji building). It manufactures and sell different types of paints, exterior and interior including (wall, metal, wood, roofing, ceiling, and machinery) objects.

“The main aim of hosting a competition was to cheer up people, because it was in

times of hardship where every Mosotho was quarantined at home without working some without receiving any incomes, that was stressful and heart breaking, so

as a team we thought we could come up with an idea of uplifting and changing their lives positively in that time of misery. The other idea was to educated

people of services and goods we provide,” mentioned Sales Representative Mpho Lemphane. The competition started on April 28th 2020 and was open to all.

To enter the competition participants had to share the competition post to at least five Facebook Groups and 10 Facebook friends’ timelines, and also answer 21 questions quiz that was

posted on Thetsane Paint Centre’s Facebook page. Thetsane Paint Centre Store Manager Fine Makara and Sales Representative Katiso Kolobe sensitized all participants on paint usage, its importance and variety of

tools used for painting. “I have gained so much knowledge, now that I know there is a waterproof paint, a prime paint, galvanised rust prime and rust prime for metal objects,” observed Sai Annah Tai one of the participants.
