World Vision ropes in pastors on World Water Day

Africa-Press – Lesotho. In commemoration of the World Water Day, which is celebrated annually on March 22, World Vision Lesotho has decided to educate pastors and other spiritual leaders about hygiene. World Vision is currently conducting a workshop which commenced on Monday, March 15 and will end tomorrow, March 19.

In an interview, one of the organizers Mr Mohau Moeketsi said World Vision is fully aware that there is dire need for hygiene in Lesotho and has decided to train pastors, as they are opinion leaders in different communities.

“Water and hygiene are twin pillars and the bible also encourages hygiene.

That is why World Vision, being a Christian organization, decided to approach this issue from a biblical perspective and train people who are influential in the communities about the importance of hygiene so that they would teach their congregants.

Our sole intention is to train trainers. After all, what better time to equip leaders about hygiene than this month when the whole world is observing water day?” he explained.
