Africa-Press – Lesotho. 17 year old Hip hop artist, Kopano Leepa, popularly known as Yung Flixx says his

latest free style single titled “Corona” has helped him gain more fame not only in the entertainment industry but the country in general. He disclosed to Informative Arts&Lifestyle

that he has officially released “Corona” track, which is meant to raise awareness about the pandemic. Yung Flixx said he came up with this free style because he perceived that COVID-19 will impact lives of many people

across the world, so he wanted to create awareness about ways in which people can lessen the spread of the pandemic in the country and across. Also, Flixx showed

that the free style was meant to ensure that people adhere to the World health Organization (WHO) guidelines to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. Asked about what motivated him to

continue working on the track, Yung Flixx indicated that it gained attention from the likes of Lilaphalapha and the Ministry of Health (MoH) as they loved the message

he disseminated. He said he was also called to the National COVID-19 Secretariat (NACOSEC) where he was introduced to the Director of Family Health Dr.

‘Makhoase Ranyali, who encouraged him to give “Corona” track another try,

saying the freestyle was very short. “Music is part of life and can lead to a person’s success if taken seriously,” the youngster perceived. Yung Flixx added that he will also

release an Extended Play (EP) on Christmas day. Having joined the industry in 2019 while in Form C, he disclosed that he collaborated with the Qoaling Royal

Wolves in June 2019, which helped him gain more confidence in his talent and gave him the first studio experience and publicity beyond his career. He recorded

the feature single, “Moraba-raba”, a collaborative track with the same group. He then joined Carbon Beat Entertainment (CBE), with which he recorded his

first solo single “Mohalalitoe” which is basically about family issues, separations which are a result of disparities between married couples. “Corona” becomes his second single with CBE.

In conclusion Yung Flixx explained that it has come to his realization that government, in some instances, does not take music seriously as they take it as a way of entertainment not employment.

He urged other young artists like him to make sure that the songs they sing are mostly based on things which impact people’s lives as they will obtain more attention.

Also, he clarified that one should not consider going to school as the only way which can help them have a bright future but should work effortlessly to embrace and nurture their talent as well.
