Africa-Press – Liberia. Montserrado County District #9 Representative Frank Saah Foko and Senator Saah Joseph have broken ground for the construction of a long-proposed multi-purpose building in Montserrado County District #9.The groundbreaking program that was held in the Lapkazee community brought together Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee, Montserrado County Senator Joseph, and several officials of the district.
The multi-purpose building when completed will be named the Munah E. Pelham Youngblood.
The project according to the Montserrado County District #9 Representative is one of the several projects that the late Representative Youngblood has dreamed of.
Representative Foko explained that after being elected, he was troubled to complete the project his former boss had longed for.
“I went around to the President, to the Senator crying about this project. I even went to my pastor and told him about this project. The drawing is still in his office,” Representative Foko says.
He added: “By the special grace of God, I’m not here to brag about what we have achieved because everything is God’s power.”
Also speaking, the Senator of Montserrado County Saah Joseph
said base on the smooth relationship he had with his former colleague, the late Representative Youngblood, he is
motivated to provide the resources to build the multi-purpose building.
“I’m ready to work. The engineers are not paid, they are all volunteers from different communities across Montserrado County,” Senator Joseph said.
“We want to make Montserrado County great for ourselves. And the only way we can do it is when all of us contribute.”
“This house is going to be beautiful. My sister Munah used to love pageantry and so I want to sit in this house and see pageantry taking place,” he added.
