Liberia: “Come Home, Join the Struggle for Transformation”

Africa-Press – Liberia. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, a presidential aspirant on the ticket of the African Liberation League (ALL) political party and a retired UN diplomat, is pleading with Liberians residing in the diaspora to return home and join the struggle for transformation and a better Liberia.

Nyanti, who is also an ordained Christian minister at the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Brewerville, outside Monrovia, told the party officials that it is now time to move beyond politics, tribalism, ethnicity, and the divisive nature of their language and move towards transforming Liberia.

“So, I am pleading with Liberians in the diaspora to come back home and join the transformation team that will move our country forward. Wherever you are as a Liberian living around the world, Liberia needs you,” she said.

The former UN Diplomat made these assertions on Friday, July 21, immediately upon her arrival at the Roberts International Airport in Harbel, Margibi County.

Nyanti said her mission outside of Liberia was to ensure that people know what the African Liberation League political party and her running mate (Simeon Mulbah) are doing to serve the people of Liberia.

According to her, the ALL political party will rise above and take Liberians out of poverty, enabling women to educate their children and men to earn more income by providing them with a good working environment.

“So, the difference I’m bringing to the presidential race is practical know-how and experience in poverty reduction, practical experience in lifting people out of poverty, I don’t know whether anyone right now in the landscape has done that before, who has been credited with establishing systems to lift people out of poverty, who has been credited with saving lives, and so what I bring to the table is that practical experience from around the world where I have done it in other countries. So that is the good news I came with,” she told partisans at the RIA.

Nyanti also outlined economic empowerment, health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and security as some of her focus areas if elected President to improve the lives of Liberians.

She noted that, with those key areas, she believes that she can better serve the people of Liberia, combined with her vast UN experience.

Nyanti further disclosed to members of the party that she has been pushing forward to ensure that the ALL Political Party manifesto for this country, which is expected to be released very soon, demonstrates a sincere desire to see the empowerment of women and youth.

She explained, “As we release our manifesto to you this week, the dream and aspiration we have for the people of Liberia—from Cape Mount to Cape Palmas—is to ensure that every Liberian will rise and will kick poverty out of this country.”

Bragging about her experience both locally and internationally, the Baptist minister said she is back, strong, and ready to work to serve the people of Liberia, and she hopes that she will be given the opportunity to render that service at the country’s highest realm.

“We will all be lifted out of poverty together—not only one person, but everybody—and Liberia will rise in the Mighty Name of Jesus! Liberia is rising; Liberia is rising, and it will take all of us to rise together and take Liberia to the next level,” she added.

Nyanti lauded her partisans for the overwhelming welcome ceremony, not because she is the political leader but because she is part of a family, a family called the African Liberation League, a grass-roots family that says all Liberians or no Liberians.
