DC United suffered a 5-2 defeat against the home side, Nana FC, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in the day’s final match as part of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) third division chase at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.Jeffery Kollie and Philip Blamo each found the target twice for the victorious Nana FC, and Chris Bodier added the final goal. Dosisa Winn and Jonny Montgomery scored two consolation goals for the losing side, DC United.

Blamo, the striker who scored two of Nana FC’s five goals, attributed their convincing 5-2 victory to what he described as smart ball control and classical finishing touches. He called on his fellow players to maintain their perfect ball control and finishing touches to sustain a winning streak as the league intensifies.

Montgomery, who scored one of DC United’s two goals, blamed his team’s forward line for failing to physically contain their opponents on the ball, leading to their defeat. He urged the team to focus their undivided attention on the upcoming game to secure their first win in the league.
