Lone Star had to come from a goal down to secure a point away from home and increase their point to four in group H.

The home team said Namibia took an early minute lead following a ball watching by the Liberian defense. Liberia, after going down, pulled out their hearts but getting the final passes was difficult.

Abdulai Bility’s header from a Lawrence Kumeh’s long throw-in was disallowed for offside but that didn’t frustrate Liberia who kept pushing as the first half ended 1-0 to the Brave Warriors.

After the interval, Coach Mario Marinica men pressured Namibia with their direct football and long balls and it paid off when Terry Sackor hit in the equalizer from a close-range effort following Kumeh’s assist.

Namibia, who topped the group, fought to restore their lead but the Lone Star defense stood their ground. Abdulai Koulibaly came into action when he was needed as he made a great save at the close of the match, ending the game 1-1.

Lone Star team headed by coach Mario Marinica and his technical team managed to display a brilliant performance against Namibia who used South Africa as their home because their stadium did not meet international standards.
