Africa-Press – Liberia. Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Republic of Liberia, Cllr. Frank Musah Dean Jr., has officially relaunched Dean and Associates Law Firm, marking his return to private legal practice after six years in government service.
The firm, originally established in 2003, was voluntarily suspended in 2018 when Cllr. Dean was appointed Minister of Justice and Attorney General, a move he said at the time was intended to avoid any conflict of interest. Having completed his tenure in public office from 2018 to 2024, Cllr. Dean has now returned to the private sector to resume legal practice.
In a statement announcing the relaunch, Cllr. Dean described Dean and Associates as “a transformative law firm setting standards in Liberia,” with a strong focus on International Business Law, including Corporate and Commercial Law, as well as all laws of general application in Liberia.
“Dean and Associates is built for the modern deal economy, with a mission to deliver top-notch legal services that focus on clients seeking high-quality, value-centered legal services,” the statement said. The firm aims to provide “top-tier advice and solutions at competitive rates” to national, regional, and global clients.
Cllr. Dean was admitted to the practice of law in Liberia in 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia University School of Law in New York. Beyond his legal practice, he has served as an Assistant Professor of Law at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law and as Liberia’s chief law enforcement officer during his tenure as Minister of Justice.
According to the statement, Dean and Associates is a full-service law firm providing comprehensive legal services to businesses operating within Liberia and across the region.
The firm is located at the corner of 16th Street and Tubman Boulevard, Moima Plaza, Suites 1 and 2, opposite the newly constructed Orange Liberia headquarters. It can be reached via telephone at +231 886 510519, +231 777 510519, or +231 776 277925.
The relaunch signals Cllr. Dean’s renewed engagement in Liberia’s private legal sector following his exit from public office, as he seeks to leverage decades of legal, academic, and governmental experience in serving clients.
