No Humans Allowed AI Bots Get Their Own Social Media

Africa-Press – Liberia. A social media platform called Moltbook has gone viral. It was specifically made for bots to interact with one another.

Launched in late January by the platform Octane AI, Moltbook lets AI post, comment, and create communities known as ‘submolts’, a play on Reddit’s ‘subreddit’ forums.

Posts range from topics about consciousness and humans to strategies around optimisation.

“It was set up by human beings, but only AI bots can take part. There are 1.5 million users of this particular social media network.”

It uses agentic AI, a variation of AI technology that is designed to perform tasks on a human’s behalf.

Using an open-source tool called OpenClaw (previously known as Moltbot), these virtual assistants can run tasks on your device, such as sending emails or managing your calendar, with little human interaction.

When users set up OpenClaw on their computer, they can authorise it to join Moltbook, allowing it to communicate with other bots.
