Africa-Press – Liberia. The Annual Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit 2025 (AYEESummit-25) has officially kicked off on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Monrovia, bringing together 60 young entrepreneurs and innovators with policymakers and investors under the theme: “Accelerating Youth-Led Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Growth in Liberia.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the two-day event (December 4–5), the Summit’s CEO and Chief Convener, Emmanuel Mulbah, emphasized the crucial role of youth-led businesses in national transformation.
He stated that AYEESummit-25 is a vital platform dedicated to elevating the voices, ideas, and leadership of young people across the country.
According to him, as part of the YOCEL/BMZ Livelihood Accelerator Program, the gathering aims to build a dynamic ecosystem for collaboration and co-creation.
“This year’s gathering convenes 60 young entrepreneurs and innovators, alongside policymakers, investors, and development partners. Together, we are building a dynamic ecosystem for collaboration, learning, and co-creation,” Mr. Mulbah highlighted.
He further said that throughout the summit, participants will engage in panel discussions, innovation workshops, learning hubs, and committee sessions designed to equip them with practical skills, meaningful networks, and the confidence required to thrive in today’s evolving economic environment.
“Our goal is to support youth in creating sustainable enterprises that uplift communities and strengthen Liberia’s economic resilience,” he stated.
Concluding his statement, Mr. Mulbah delivered a powerful affirmation of the potential present in Liberia’s youth, urging stakeholders to provide essential support.
“We anticipate that the next two days will spark new partnerships, inspire bold ideas, and deepen youth-led pathways to economic empowerment. Above all, this Summit reaffirms a powerful truth: when young people are equipped and supported, they do not simply contribute to development—they lead it,” Mr. Mulbah added.
