Africa-Press – Liberia. In an effort to improve education infrastructure, authorities in Bong County over the weekend officially broke ground for the construction of the Kolietawolah Junior High School in Electoral District #2 in the County.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony, Senator Prince K. Moye and District #2 Representative James Kolleh disclosed that the project comes as a result of a $75,000 allocation from the County Development Fund.
The lawmakers emphasized that the initiative is designed to ensure that the people of Kolietawolah benefit from both county-level and national government support.
“This is your project,” Senator Moye told residents. “We are encouraging everyone to take ownership and ensure it succeeds so that similar development can be replicated in other communities across the county.”
Representative James M. Kolleh echoed the sentiment, adding that community involvement will be vital for the timely and successful completion of the school.
Representing the Office of the County Superintendent, the County Administrative Officer, D Sam Baryougah Elliott Sr. reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to delivering a modern, well-equipped junior high school.
He noted that Kolietawolah deserves better educational opportunities and pledged that construction will be completed before the start of the next academic year in September.
The official also extended gratitude to the Bong Legislative Caucus for its collaborative support in prioritizing educational development.
The event brought together community leaders, educators, and local residents, who celebrated the development as a long-awaited milestone for youth empowerment in the region.
