Africa-Press – Liberia. Gbarnga, Bong County, April 11, 2026 — ForumCiv Liberia Country Manager Asa David Chon has commended the agricultural innovation and youth capacity-building efforts of the Youth International Training Institute (YITI) following his first visit to the institution’s demonstration farm in Goll Farm on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

During the visit, Asa David Chon expressed strong appreciation for YITI’s practical approach to agricultural education, particularly its emphasis on climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness development, and hands-on technical training for young people.

He noted that the institute is playing a strategic role in preparing the next generation of Liberian agripreneurs with the skills needed to improve productivity, strengthen food systems, and address modern agricultural challenges.

According to the ForumCiv Country Manager, YITI’s integration of entrepreneurship into agriculture is helping young people view farming not only as a livelihood option but also as a profitable and sustainable business venture, especially in Central Liberia, where agriculture remains a key driver of economic growth.

He further praised the commitment of the instructors and students, emphasizing that initiatives such as YITI are essential to promoting sustainable farming practices, innovation, and rural development.

Such institutions contribute significantly to national food security and resilience by equipping youth with practical knowledge in crop production, environmental stewardship, and agribusiness management.
