Borough FC Makes Statement with Double Signing of Ex-IE Stars

Africa-Press – Liberia. Borough FC have officially completed the signings of Aloysious Shano Klon and Alex Reeves, two former Invincible Eleven (IE) standouts.

The move has been described as a major statement of intent from the Bushrod Island based club ahead of the new league season.

Klon, a midfield dynamo once regarded as one Monrovia Club Breweries now Borough FC brightest prospects, makes an emotional return to the club after five years away.

The midfielder first featured for the team in its Monrovia Club Breweries era back in 2020, and his comeback has been embraced by supporters who remember his composure, grit, and leadership.

Reeves, meanwhile, joins Borough on a three-year deal after leaving IE on a free transfer.

The winger, widely praised for his blistering pace and creativity, was one of IE’s most dangerous attackers and is expected to add firepower to Borough’s frontline.

Speaking at the unveiling, Borough FC President Sylvanus Morris described the double signing as a clear indication of the club’s ambitions.

“Signing Aloysious and Alex is not just about adding quality players it’s about sending a clear message. Borough FC is here to compete. We want to build a team that our community can be proud of, and these two bring both talent and experience,” Morris said.

Klon, visibly emotional, said returning to Borough was like coming home.

“This is special for me. Borough is family. Coming back after five years feels like I never left. I’m ready to give everything for this badge again,” the midfielder noted.

For Reeves, the transfer marks the beginning of what he called an “exciting new chapter.”

“Joining Borough is a big step for me. This club has ambition, and I want to be part of something great here. I can’t wait to get started and show the fans what I can do,” Reeves told reporters.

The announcement has ignited excitement across the Borough community, with fans hailing the duo as “game-changers” who could inspire the team’s push for success in the upcoming campaign.
