Africa-Press – Liberia. Dr. Thomas Nimene Tweh, popularly known as “Original Countryman,” has constructed and dedicated a fully equipped church edifice valued at US$500,000 in Louisiana Cassava Hill Community, Caldwell.
The newly dedicated church, named God is Able Pentecostal International Ministries, was officially turned over to its appointed pastor, Rev. Mambu T. Koffa, during a well-attended dedication ceremony marked by worship, testimonies, and emotional reflections on God’s faithfulness.
At the dedicatory ceremony, which drew a large crowd of church members, community leaders, and others, Dr. Tweh shared the inspiration behind the monumental project. “I made a promise to God many years ago,” he said. “Today, I am humbled to see that promise fulfilled. This church is not only a house of worship but a beacon of hope, peace, and guidance for our community.”
“First of all, on behalf of my wife and me, I want to give God all the thanks and praise. Everything you see here is by the glory of God,” Dr. Tweh told the congregation. “I only want to tell God to shine His light on what I told Him—since He has started for me, I am giving it back to Him.” He further shocked many attendees by publicly relinquishing all ownership, rights, and privileges over the church property.
“Let it be known by everyone seated here that this church is not for Dr. Thomas and Abigail Tweh,” he said.
“From today, I have no right, no privilege. Rev. Koffa can even say, ‘Close the door and don’t let Dr. Tweh in.’ This church is the House of the Lord.”
According to Dr. Tweh, the deed to the property, acquired in 2024, has been officially signed and turned over to Rev. Koffa through his junior wife and sister-in-law, underscoring the family’s commitment to relinquish control fully.
“Nobody should thank me. The only thing I need from you is to bless God for me. Pray for my wife and me, that is all I need,” he concluded.
In response, Rev. Mambu T. Koffa, Founder and General Overseer of God Is Able Pentecostal International Ministries, expressed deep gratitude, describing Dr. Tweh as a man God has continually used to uplift his ministry. “I want to be grateful to God for what He has done,” Rev. Koffa said. “I remember a few years back when I met Dr. Tweh. I was called to perform a task, and he was there observing, unknown to me.”
Rev. Koffa recounted several acts of generosity, including the gift of a US$35,000 vehicle, as well as fully sponsored international trips for ministry exposure. “The first thing he blessed me with was a car that cost US$35,000. He didn’t stop there. One day, he told someone, ‘Tell the pastor to send me his passport,’ and that’s how I traveled to Dubai. From Dubai, he told me to prepare for Singapore. I didn’t believe it, but I went—and God blessed me through them,” Rev. Koffa testified. He added that Dr. Tweh and his family have consistently been instruments of God’s blessing in his life and ministry.
A series of emotional speeches, musical performances, and prayers of thanksgiving characterized the event.
Local pastor and spiritual leaders praised the humanitarian’s generosity, saying, “Dr. Tweh’s contribution will forever change the spiritual landscape of this community. This church is more than bricks and mortar; it is a sanctuary where faith and fellowship will grow for generations.”
Community members expressed deep gratitude for the initiative. Miama Moore, a resident of Cassava Hill, said, “We have never witnessed anything like this before. This church will not only uplift our spiritual lives but will also serve as a center for youth mentorship and community development. We are truly blessed.”
