Court Vindicates Deputy Police Inspector From Alleged Criminal Charges

Africa-Press – Liberia. Senior Inspector of the Liberia National Police, Unit-109, Victor Gboyah, has every reason to be comfortable in his new portfolio after being vindicated of all alleged criminal offenses levied against him in a lawsuit filed at the Monrovia City Court by one Jallah Kollie.

According to a Clerk’s Certificate in the possession of FrontPageAfrica, a careful perusal of the court’s record shows that Inspector Gboyah did not aid the escape of the Principal Defendant, Abner Yonly.

Instead, the court noted that it was one Emanuel Wright who resided in Brewerville and was a guarantor of said Principal Defendant.

Complainant Kollie recently implicated Inspector Gboyah in an incident he encountered with one Alber Yonly, a Liberian-born American.

Kollie alleged that Gboyah had interfered with an ongoing investigation, for which he sought redress at the Monrovia City Court on multiple crimes he viewed as committed against him, ranging from Criminal Facilitation, Criminal Mischief, Menacing, and Simple Assault.

However, the court ordered Inspector Gboyah before its jurisdiction, where Gboyah exonerated himself of charges levied against him in keeping with the law of Liberia.

Inspector Gboyah, appearing before Judge Ben Barco’s Chambers, said he had no connection to said allegation and that it was another individual who signed as a guarantor of Yonly, who is believed to have escaped Liberia.

However, the Clerk’s Certificate also upheld Gboyah’s contention that he was never associated with claims of aiding Defendant Yonly to escape Justice in Liberia.

The document stated: “This is to certify that a careful perusal of the record in these proceedings reveals that Defendant Victor P. Gboyah, charged with Criminal Facilitation, was absolved of the said crime after it was discovered that he did not aid the escape of Principal Defendant Abber Yonly. Instead, one Emmanuel Wright, residing in Brewerville and with contact number 0880457094, was the guarantor of the said Principal Defendant who is said to have escaped the bailiwick of the country.”
