Africa-Press – Liberia. Watanga FC Captain Farsedu Logan and forward Chauncy Freeman have inked new two-year contract extensions, solidifying their commitment to the club.Logan showcased an outstanding performance in the Liberian Orange 1st Division League last season, netting an impressive tally of 10 goals and contributing five assists across various competitions. Despite his contract originally set to expire in September, sources revealed that Logan had been considering leaving the club due to the absence of fresh contract offers. This situation led to frustration as several potential suitors, including Heaven Eleven, Cece United, and Bea Mountain, expressed interest in acquiring his services.

In a similar vein, Freeman, who missed the 2022/2023 League season due to his travels outside Liberia, has also pledged his loyalty to Watanga by committing himself to the club for an additional two seasons. Freeman played a pivotal role in Watanga’s triumphant campaign in the 2021/2022 season, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 22 appearances, one of which was as a substitute.

The club promptly confirmed the contract extensions on its official Facebook page, stating, “Both Logan and Freeman will be with us for the next two seasons.” Expressing the club’s satisfaction with the signings, Emmanuel Tomax Solo, the Secretary General, emphasized the significance of retaining their top talents for the team’s ongoing progress. Solo further added, “Farsedu and Chauncy are integral members of our squad now and for the foreseeable future.”

With Logan and Freeman committing their futures to Watanga FC, the club is poised to build upon their achievements and further solidify their competitive position in upcoming seasons.
