Five Children Meet Their Untimely Death in Nimba after A Thunderbolt

Africa-Press – Liberia. Tragedy struck in Downorpa Town, Sanniquellie, Nimba County as five children were struck to death by mysterious thunder lightning which occurred during the afternoon hours of Saturday, workers assigned at the G. W. Harley Hospital confirmed to FrontPageAfrica.

The deceased’s ages range from 5 to 9 years old respectively. The incident, which occurred around 6: 00 pm, followed a drizzling which was accompanied by the lightning that killed its victims, according to family sources.

Our Nimba County correspondent gathered that the children were playing in front of one of the deceased’s home when the thunder struck, family sources said.

Though no official statement has been released to the effect by the hospital, a senior member of the hospital, who spoke with FrontPageAfrica on condition of anonymity, disclosed that there were about ten persons who were in close proximity when the lightning occurred, accompanied by the thunder which struck the five children to death.

When contacted, the head of the hospital’s Relations Officer office, also confirmed the incident but declined further comments. Their bodies of the victims are still at the hospital awaiting the arrival of their families to be turned, the hospital’s public relations office told FrontPageAfrica.
