Africa-PressLiberia. Liberia’s entertainment industry is set to achieve another milestone as plans have reached advanced stages for the launch of the first Big Brother Reality Show in Liberia in which young Liberians are expected to showcase their distinctive talents in line with the criteria that will be set out.

As part of the arrangement, the Chief Executive Officer of the Big Brother Reality TV Show (Liberia), Hon. Karishma Pelham Raad and the Big Brother Liberia Media Partner, CEO Randall Jackson are currently in Sierra Leone in order to make the necessary contacts with various business entities to see how they could support the show so that it turns out to be truly entertaining and as well beneficial to the participants.

Speaking to FrontPage Africa from Sierra Leone, Hon. Pelham-Radd said two prominent entities that she and Mr. Jackson have so far contacted are Africell-SL and the African Young Voices (AYV).

“We have held very fruitful discussions with both the Chief Executive Officers of Africell and AYV, Shadi Gerjawi and Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. respectively,” she said.

She said a major aspect of the discussions bordered on getting the TV Reality Show broadcast live on AYV on DStv Channel 399; and this was agreed upon by CEO Anthony Navo Jr. She expressed excitement that all is being arranged for the inaugural Big Brother Liberia Reality TV Show to be broadcast live on DStv.

“As I have been saying here in Sierra Leone, the upcoming Reality TV Show is for all Liberians and Liberians should own it and support it as their own. And I am committed to reaching out and seeking opportunities for my people and the entertainment sector,” she said.

According to the Sierra Leone-based ‘Calabash Newspaper’, African Young Voices (AYV) Television is now linked to DStv, an achievement which came to fruition on the 17th September, 2021 when the launch took place during a well-attended and auspicious program held within the media empire’s amphitheatre.

This milestone, the paper noted, is the fact that AYV’s coming onboard DStv materialized as a result of the collaboration between the Management of the Media Empire and MultiChoice Africa. Viewers could now watch AYV programs via DStv Africa Channel 399.

If this goes through, Liberia will join Nigeria, Ghana, and Sierra Leone as the four countries in the West African sub-region to attain such a prestigious opportunity to showcase the country’s rich culture and creative talents on the DStv platform with close to 20 million subscribers across the continent.

Hon. Pelham, a top Liberian TV and radio personality-cum-politician continues to make headways this year following the bagging of several international awards, including the Africa Entertainment Icon of the Year Award in Accra, Ghana.
