Africa-Press – Liberia. With seven games to spare and five points below the safety zone, Liberia’s traditional club, Invincible Eleven (IE), are not giving up on their fight to remain in the Orange 1st division league.

Their weekend performance against Bea Mountain at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville was a showcase. The ‘Sun Shine Yellow Boys’ forced Bea Mountain to a 2-2 draw, courtesy of goals from Sidiki Kromah and Saah Nyumah’s late freekick goal against his former club.

Kromah and Nyumah are two of the club’s first six new signings unveiled on February 10. This was followed by the unveiling of an additional eight players, totalling 14 new signings since the appointment of Senator Saah Joseph as interim president of the IE Sports Association.

Sen. Joseph and his team of officials have been busy scouting for some of the best breeds of players in the Liberian league. According to Sen. Joseph, the club is not just focused on escaping the relegation zone, but aims to rebuild and rebrand the club and provide opportunities for players on the team.

All of the new signings were signed on a two-year deal with more focus on “providing opportunities for our players, because we don’t want to keep them long on our team,” club president Joseph said.

At the weekend’s unveiling of eight additional new signings, head coach Samuel Sumo lauded the IE Sports Association for the support to the team and promised that he and his players will do all they can to ensure that they remain in the top league.
