Africa-Press – Liberia. The Deputy Director General for Rebranding at the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), D-Flow Flomo, is facing widespread condemnation after publicly mocking the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) following the court-ordered demolition of the party’s headquarters on August 23, 2025.

Flomo, dressed in an LBS-branded jacket, was spotted at the demolition site alongside the institution’s outside broadcasting crew. After the exercise, he posed for a photo at the scene and posted it with a caption many described as derogatory.

He wrote: “Mission accomplished big time. In my history book, CDC is now homeless. No more tires burning on public road again with they being homeless oooo.”

The remarks drew sharp criticism from journalists and citizens who accused Flomo of undermining professional ethics and fueling perceptions of bias within the state broadcaster.

Morris McCarthy commented: “If this is true, then his statement indirectly indicts the government or ruling party of not being neutral in the entire court proceedings.”

Journalist Divine Carneh added: “The position you occupy calls for neutrality, Mr. Deputy Director General. Stop violating the ethical standards of our noble profession.”

Another journalist, Samuel Cole, cautioned: “My brother, report the news — don’t be part of the news. You have made a professional error here. Upon reflection, I hope you admit it and do the needful.”

Others were even harsher. Daou Jabateh blasted Flomo, saying: “You are one of the least intelligent individuals and examples of effective leadership. Evidently, maturity has not yet found its way to your mind, leading you to make irresponsible comments as a member of this corrupt administration.”

Though Flomo is not the head of Media Services — the department directly responsible for outside broadcasting — he reportedly handles most of its activities. He is also alleged to be a close confidant of LBS Director General Eugene Fahngon.
