Africa-Press – Liberia. The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has received a major boost in its fight against drug trafficking and transnational organized crime with the donation of two state-of-the-art drug identification devices.
This donation was made possible through a partnership between the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the U.S. Government, supported by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Liberia.
These cutting-edge tools will significantly enhance the LDEA’s field operations by enabling officers to quickly and accurately identify a wide range of narcotics and controlled substances on the spot.
This means, improved Operational Efficiency: Faster drug identification allows for quicker response and prosecution as well as stronger legal outcomes:
Accurate, court-admissible results contribute to more effective convictions.
This donation reflects the unwavering commitment of UNODC and the U.S. Government to strengthening Liberia’s capacity to combat drug trafficking, dismantle criminal networks, and protect communities across the nation.
