Africa-Press – Liberia. Liberia Football Association’s (LFA) president Mustapha I. Raji’s relationship with other Member Associations continues to yield fruitful benefits with the latest coming from the Hungarian Football Association.
This comes after UEFA in 2020 accepted Liberia’s partnership request to help in his drive to develop Liberian football at all levels. LFA, through its Medical Committee over the weekend, announced the arrival of medical equipment valued at over US$35,000.
Some of the equipment donated include seven pieces of defibrillator (an apparatus used to control heart fibrillation by application of an electric current to the chest wall or heart), ten pieces of CRP Kits ( a kit designed for the quantitative measurement of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) protein in human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants), twenty pieces of stretchers and first aid kits among others.
LFA Medical Committee Head and Doctor of the Liberia National Team, Dr. Torsou Jallabah, thanked the Hungarian FA through the UEFA Assistant Program for the donation and LFA president Raji, for his leadership role at the FA.
According to Dr. Jallabah, the medical equipment will be divided among various national teams, while some will be distributed among clubs and league match venues across the country.
Sports medics will also undergo rehearser training on the usage of the medical equipment. In 2020, Liberia benefited from a minivan project valued at US$39,000, followed by the provision of bucket seats by the Romanian Football Association in 2022.
