Africa-Press – Liberia. Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine, the running mate of Alexander Cummings, has boldly predicted a first-round victory for the “Cummings-Brumskine” ticket in the October 10 elections.

Brumskine’s conviction stems from her belief that Cummings’ vision of fostering an inclusive government, economic growth, improving healthcare access, and bolstering education infrastructure is striking a chord with voters across the nation.

“I am fully confident that Alexander Cummings and I will win the elections to lead Liberia towards a more prosperous and inclusive future,” Brumskine told the Daily Observer.

“The people of Liberia deserve better; as such, they will choose hope over despair, progress over stagnation, and unity over division and this is where we come in.”

The projection by Brumskine, a lawyer by profession, comes as the Cummings-Brumskine ticket gained momentum in recent months, which she claimed is a clear indication that Liberians have become disillusioned with the current state of affairs.

According to her, the ticket offers a fresh alternative to traditional politics in Liberia — drawing in a groundswell of support — which they are going to harness for victory.

However, the Cummings-Brumskine ticket, which remains one of the three presidential tickets with a clear chance of winning the election, faces a heavy challenge from incumbent President George Weah and former Vice President Joseph Boakai.

Brumskine acknowledges the hurdles but remains undeterred, emphasizing that their campaign is rooted in principles and a genuine desire to serve the nation, which she claimed has led to a groundswell of support.

“We are fully aware of the challenges, but we are driven by our unwavering commitment to Liberia and its people,” Brumskine declared. “Our campaign is about substance, integrity, and a deep love for our country. Our vision is built on the pillars of economic growth, social equity, and transparent governance – principles that resonate deeply with the aspirations of the Liberian people.

“What we have now started to witness is a groundswell of support from all corners of our nation,” she beamed. “People are recognizing that a brighter future is within our grasp, and together, we will usher in a new era of progress and prosperity. Our campaign is not just about promises like the others, but about a tangible roadmap for progress.”

In the coming weeks, Brumskine and Cummings plan to intensify their efforts, crisscrossing Liberia to engage with more voters and share “comprehensive vision” for the nation’s future.

The plan, she said, would include town hall meetings, policy discussions, and interactive platforms that allow citizens to actively participate in shaping their collective destiny.

Brumskine added that the “Cummings-Brumskine ticket” is not just campaigning for power, but also advocating for a transformative shift in how Liberia is governed.

“At the heart of our campaign is the belief that every Liberian deserves equal opportunities and a chance to be heard. We will work tirelessly to bridge divides and ensure that the voices of all Liberians are represented in our governance.

“I have faith in the wisdom of the Liberian people,” Brumskine asserted. “They are ready for a government that truly serves them, that uplifts and empowers every citizen, regardless of their background. With Alexander Cummings at the helm and a dedicated team by our side, we are well-equipped to usher in a new era of progress.”
