Liberia: Court Orders CNDRA To Testify To Three Deeds

Africa-Press – Liberia. The Civil Law Court “B” at the Temple of Justice has granted a plaintiff’s request for the issuance of a Writ of Subpoena in a land dispute involving the Modern Development and Management Corporation MDMC, thru its Managing Director John S. Youboty and Musa Kamara and Netty Nyanneh of the township of Johnsonville Mount Barclay for 16.5 acres of land.

On January 12, 2023, the Court order was made on the director general of the Center for National Documentation and records Agency to produce the registration of the three administrator deeds issued by the Bettie’s Estate.

The court granted and ordered the sheriff of the court to make formal report as the manner and form of service to the Writ of Subpoena Duce Tecum and Ad Testificandum ordered by the Court to be served on the defendant’s counsel.

The court, “notes that the CNDRA was to appear Tuesday January 12, 2023 as a subpoena witness to testify in Case. That the said CNDRA having requesting as excuse being granted by the court, and the said NDRA being the only witness scheduled to appear today.”

Lawyers for plaintiff informed the court that plaintiff requested for the issuance of a Writ of Subpoena and to be issued and served on the MDMC to produce, confirm and testify to the registration of the three Administrator deeds issued by the Bettie’s Estate to the plaintiff these proceedings.

The trial was ordered to continue on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the hour of 9:00am.
