Africa-Press – Liberia. The Liberia Fitness Award in partnership with the City of Paynesville has announced the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Honorees and Fitness Trailblazers.
The award is aimed at recognizing outstanding contributions and dedication to the Liberia fitness industry, organizers say.
According to a release from the Liberia Strongman Federation, this year’s Lifetime Achievement Honorees are Alexander Johnson, owner of Russian Keep Fit Gym in Paynesville, Joebar, for his pioneering work in promoting fitness and wellness in Liberia.
Also, Ayouba Bayour, a Liberian Immigration Officer and a former Police Officer who has committed his tireless efforts in developing fitness programs for the community and encouraging others to stay fit and Mr. Junior “Russian” Pewee, the only Liberian Master in Martial Arts, Olympian and owner of Liberia Martial Arts Academy complete the nominees.
In the Fitness Trailblazers category, Emmanuel Payne has been nominated, for his innovative approach to fitness training and education along with NDO CHAMP, for his outstanding achievements in fitness competition and promotion. “We are thrilled to recognize these individuals for their remarkable contributions to the fitness industry in Liberia,” said Christopher Pennie, chairman of Liberia Fitness Award Committee.
“Their dedication and passion have inspired countless others to prioritize fitness and wellness.”
The awards ceremony is expected to take place on Nov 22, 2023 at Paynesville City Hall, featuring a keynote speech, award presentations, and a fitness showcase.
