Africa-Press – Liberia. The Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) has confirmed to FrontPageAfrica that its secretary general, Martin Kollah’s driver has absconded with US$70,000 intended to fund the Dec. 17 ‘We’re Tired Suffering’ Rally.
The driver has been identified as Simon Davies.
“We had just started paying people and because of the huge crowd, I left my driver in the office and tried to divert the crowd downstairs so that I could have space to pay people who were hired to render services. It took me less than five minutes to get back, the guy, my driver was missing and he left the keys in the car with the doors opened,” Kollah said.
He explained that the money was being used to purchase water, print additional T-Shirts and pay for transporting of people to the rally that is expected to take place at the SKD Sports Stadium.
Simon, according to him, has worked with him for two years.
