Africa-Press – Liberia. The 2026 edition will feature a preliminary pitching contest where contestants showcase innovative ventures. Six finalists will advance to the grand finale, competing in categories such as research, leadership, creativity, and advocacy.
The Miss Inter-University Beauty Pageant (MIUL), a research-oriented competition blending intellect, culture, and leadership, has announced its sophomore edition for March 28, 2026, in Monrovia.
Organized by the Tarr Event & Media Consultancy, this year’s contest carries the theme “Remodeling Excellence: Ambition and Dreams” and will recruit 14 contestants from accredited Liberian universities. Unlike traditional beauty contests, MIUL positions young women as ambassadors of education and culture while focusing on research, civic engagement, and professional growth.
First Edition Successes
The inaugural pageant, held in 2024, crowned Miss Vashe T. Weah of the University of Liberia. Her prize package included a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, L$150,000, a brand-new laptop, ambassadorial deals, and an all-expense-paid trip to South Africa.
Two winners from the maiden edition are now headed for international platforms.
According to organizers, Miss Vashe T. Weah will represent Liberia at the Global Youth Summit in Cape Town this October, while Miss Cherah M. Doe, first runner-up from Starz College of Science and Technology, will attend the Africa Women Conference in Johannesburg this November.
Organizers say these achievements highlight MIUL’s growing international recognition.
