Africa-Press – Liberia. Liberia international Sylvanus Nimely has added another major honor to his football career after helping Neftchi Fergana clinch the 2025 Uzbekistan Super League title, sealing the championship with an emphatic 4–1 victory over Qizilqum.

The win confirmed Neftchi as champions on the penultimate matchday, sparking celebrations across the city and pride among Liberians following the exploits of one of their own on the international stage.

This latest triumph became Nimely’s second major career trophy, following his 2017/18 Russian Super Cup victory with Spartak Moscow.

“He said he’s impressed with the championship, reflecting on his time in Uzbekistan where he ended as second highest scorer of the league, and coming back to win the league is a plus for his career and the club,”
